80+ Bikes, $10K Raised: Recapping the Joe Langevin Memorial Ride!
What an incredible day. Just a week or so ago, our community came together for the Talons Out Honor Flight - Joe Langevin Memorial Ride, and the turnout completely blew us away.
With the sun shining off the chrome, American flags flying high from the back of bikes, and the pavement humming, we had over 80 motorcycles hit the road for an unforgettable charity ride. Seeing that massive pack of riders rolling together was a powerful sight, and thanks to your incredible generosity, sponsorships, and unmatched energy, we officially raised $10,000!
More than just a spectacular day out on the road, this event served as a beautiful, meaningful tribute to Joe’s memory and a testament to what this community can do when we ride with purpose. Every single dollar raised goes directly to Talons Out Honor Flight to support their mission: honoring WWII, Korean, and Vietnam-era Veterans by flying them—at absolutely no cost to the veteran—to see their memorials in Washington D.C.
An honor ride like this relies on an incredible community coming together, and we had some fantastic local partners helping us keep the momentum going at every single turn.
A Massive Thank You to Our Stops
A huge shout-out goes to the local spots that hosted our massive pack of riders, kept everyone energized, and showed true community spirit:
- American Legion Post 127: Thank you for providing incredible hospitality and setting the perfect, patriotic tone for our route.
- Dirty Boyz Motorcycles (M8 Headquarters): Michigan's premier Harley-Davidson service, parts, and tuning shop was a phenomenal host, welcoming our huge group of riders into the shop with open arms.
- Heroes Bar & Spirits: For keeping the energy high, the atmosphere electric, and our riders fueled up with great food and camaraderie.
- VFW Post 7581: For hosting us with immense pride and giving our riding community a meaningful, welcoming place to gather and share stories.
"Community isn't just about where you live—it's about how you show up for each other. Seeing over 80 bikes rolling down the highway to honor Joe's memory and support our veterans proved exactly who we are."
The Bottom Line
Whether you rode with us, donated, volunteered, or just cheered the pack on from the sidewalk, you helped make a massive difference for our veterans. Talons Out Honor Flight sincerely appreciates your support, and events like this would not be possible without you.
